ROWING CHALLENGE – On the week leading up to the health day we will be offering out a ‘row a mile’ challenge in our partner gyms. We will be ask people to pledge their mile and log the time they take to complete a mile. Daniel will set a ‘time to beat’ on the Monday. We are also trying to get a rower set up in the council offices to set the mile challenge to staff on Friday 18th May.
ROW CHALLENGE FRIDAY 18 MAY: ROEFIELD LEISURE CENTRE FROM 9AM – 6PM
TAG TEAM MILE on the Friday – This will be for our less mobile people who would struggle to complete a mile. We want them to complete a distance they are comfortable with and then tag a team mate to do the next distance. The aim is to complete a mile and beyond.
TAG TEAM FRIDAY 18 MAY: ROEFIELD LEISURE CENTRE 9AM – 12NOON
PARK MILE AND TAI CHI on Friday 18 May – We will be doing this in two parks. Over at Longridge during the day and at Clitheroe Castle in the evening. We plan to do a mile walk followed by a tai chi session.
MORNING: MEET AT 11AM TOP GATES JOHN SMITHS PARK FOR WALK FOLLOWED BY TAI CHI AT 11.45
EVENING: MEET AT 6PM AT CLITHEROE CASTLE MAIN GATES FOR WALK FOLLOWED BY TAI CHI AT THE BANDSTAND AT 6.45PM
CIRCUIT MILE on Friday 18 May – We plan to run a circuit class in Roefield sports hall, the aim is to cover a mile moving between stations.
ROEFIELD LEISURE CENTRE 11AM – 12.30PM
