Cycling Volunteers

Are you interested in becoming a trained cycle leader?

Or are you a trained cycle leader who wishes to support their local community?

Do you have a couple of hours to spare each week?

Or would you like to help to maintain both our and participants' bikes?

Then why not come and join us and be part of our volunteer team in your local area.

This year, Up and Active are keen to develop weekly cycling sessions in the following areas: Burnley, Pendle, Hyndburn, Rossendale and Ribble Valley.

All rides are free to participants; sessions will be informal and friendly.

We need people with enthusiasm across the whole region, to help us deliver a fantastic cycling project for people who are not particularly fit, need to lose a little weight or just want to get out into our parks and socialise.

Most of our sessions will be traffic free using Greenways, local parks and cycle tracks, sessions will start in 2017, although, we need to start meeting volunteers now (Sept. 2016) to enable training and organising sessions. We will be looking to start a road ride later on in 2017. If there is a big enough demand we will start to include early evening rides.
