Rossendale Health Week

We've been busy planning lots of fun and informative activities across Rossendale.
Monday 18th September
We'll be offering free fruit tasting and snack swap advice with parents at primary school and after swimming lessons 4-5.30pm at Marl Pits Leisure Centre today.
Tuesday 19th September
Meet the team in Victoria Park, Haslingden, for an outdoor session of Circuit Lite, using the park and outdoor gym equipment, running from 10.30-11.30am. Come and join us and learn how to exercise safely and correctly. Meeting at the entrance to Victoria Park on Helmshore Road at 10.15am.
We'll also be offering FREE MOT health checks at Haslingden library between 10.30-12 and Bacup library between 1.30-3 today.
Finally, we hope you’ll join us at either Bacup Health Centre between 9.30-11am or Haslingden Health Centre between 3-5pm to chat about how Up and Active can help you to lose weight and get more active – No faddy diets as we all know that dieting doesn’t work!
Wednesday 20th September
Again, we'll be offering free fruit tasting and snack swap advice with parents at primary school and after swimming lessons at Marl Pits 4-5.30pm.
Today we will also be at Rossendale Primary Health Care Centre between 9.30-11.30am to chat about how Up and Active can help you to lose weight and get more active.
Thursday 21st September
We'll be leading a walk up Pendle Hill with groups from across East Lancashire. Meet at Barley village car park at 10.00am for a fun walk up Pendle. The walk will be off road and will involve a Pendle ascent, please allow 3 hours.
If you feel that walking up Pendle is a step too far for you then we have a lower level walk which is approximately 2 miles (with a slight gradient) starting at 2.00pm and meeting at Barley Village car park.
Friday 22nd September
You can find us at Whitworth Medical Centre from 9-10.30am to get more information on how Up and Active can help you to lose weight and get more active.
We will also be offering free MOT health checks at Whitworth Library 11-12.30 today.
Saturday 23 September
We'll be supporting the Rossendale Colour Dash at Marl Pits from 12 noon, so why not pop along and have some fun whilst supporting a local charity.
Sunday 24 September
Finally, bring the kids to have fun at our family woodland adventure walk at Whittaker Park. Meeting outside the museum at 10am and finishing around 11.30am.
