Couch 2 Pendle Hill

18 July 2017

For many of us, Pendle Hill is the background to our lives, always there, a solid presence reminding us of so many aspects of local culture and history.  It's also a pretty useful weather forecasting tool as well!  But when was the last time you climbed up to the top?  Many people haven't been since their childhood and some have never made it to the top despite living in its shadow all their lives.

So, if getting up Pendle Hill is something that's been on your to-do list, why not join us on our latest 'Couch 2' challenge?  We'll be running a free walking session every Wednesday from 2nd August for six weeks, with the aim of getting you up Pendle Hill.

The sessions are aimed at people who aren't exercising and alongside our evening walk from Victoria Park in Nelson we'd recommend you get out a couple of times a week yourself, either with one of our volunteer-led walks or on your own.

At the end of the six weeks, we are planning a group walk up Pendle Hill on Thursday 21 September where we'll be meeting walkers from the rest of East Lancashire.

So what are you waiting for?  Register now for your Up and Active barcode and bring it along to the Couch 2 Pendle Hill sessions!
