Lynne from Rossendale wanted to lose weight and improve her fitness. When she called into Hasligden Sports Centre to ask about membership, they recommended she join the Up and Active programme.
Lynne had had knee surgery in May 2015 and also suffers from arthirits and tendoitis, and needed to lose weight.
She has been attending a weigh in, Tai Chi, and a supervised gym session and has also tried out other classes over her 12 week programme with the Up and Active team.
In just 12 weeks, Lynne has lost 5kg and has noticed a marked improvement in her fitness.
Lynne says that the Up and Active programme is excellent value to encourage people to start a fitness routine. Once you've started its easier to carry on and achieve a fitness or weight loss goal.
